 New Zealand Transport Agency
Completion Date: December 2015
Team:

In this NZTA project URS was employed by the main contractor, Fulton Hogan, in an integrated design and construction team under an ECI contract. It involved widening 2km of motorway from two lanes each way to three lanes plus dedicated bus lane. It included replacing the Selwood Road Bridge and Henderson Creek Bridge whilst maintaining motorway traffic flows. The civil works included new ramps, earthworks, ground improvement and stormwater management.

Meagan’s role was as design manager for the four-year duration of the project, and Noel’s was as lead geometric designer during the I&R phase where he developed the preferred interchange option resulting in safety improvements, reduced land-take and environmental impact.
